IS IT CLEAN BEAUTY?

4.5

The bottom line

This clean beauty gem is perfect for all members of your family featuring a very light scent. Its healthy ingredient profile makes it very safe to use everyday! Be sure to pair it with a different conditioner as the combo doesn’t offer a conditioner worth trying. For dry hair textures choose a heavier moisturizing shampoo instead.

Best for

All hair types and people who do not like super strong fragrance. Dry hair would benefit opting for a heavier moisturizing product.

Should you buy it?

I bought it more than once! So yes, grab yourself a bottle and let me know what your opinion is!

Scent

Any scent that is made from essential oils I will always prefer over synthetic fragrances always and forever. Lavender always wins my heart and studies show that men love the smell of lavender too. Though marketed as lavender it has a light scent that’s not overpowering nor super flowery, so it feels very unisex appropriate.

Value

The price point is comparable to buying haircare at your local health food store. So the price is very reasonable compared to luxury brand options. The ingredient profile is top quality because it is very safe for your health. I believe that paying a little extra for something that is healthier is always a win in value.

Results

It gets the job done with a nice gentle clean feeling on the scalp and hair. It also does a great job getting rid of greasy oily roots destined for a good wash.

Packaging

I picked up the product at a health food store, not Neiman’s. So the packaging isn’t super lux, but I really like the look and functionality of the bottles. I also like that the brand offers more than one size.

Directions

Gently cleanses and hydrates normal to dry hair. Apply to wet hair, massage into a rich lather, rinse. For best results, follow with conditioner.

2.7

The bottom line

The sister shampoo to this conditioner is a clean beauty gem, but I must report that this conditioner needs some major reformulating. The name claims that the product is nourishing which is very inaccurate. A better descriptive word for this formula would be lightweight. Though the ingredients are safe and healthy for everyday use, the performance of the product is not worth the buy. You have to pump out more than double the normal amount of pumps of conditioner for the product to saturate the hair properly and even then it feels not distributed well enough. The final result did not moisturize the hair well.

Best for

Perhaps short hairstyles that are normal to oily would like to try this product as it is very lightweight. I think someone who usually doesn’t like to use conditioner might find this to be a good fit as it won’t weigh down the hair as the moisture power is very low.

Should you buy it?

Not if you have long, dry, chemical treated or damaged hair.

Scent

Though marketed as lavender it has a light scent that’s not overpowering nor super flowery, so it feels very unisex appropriate.

Value

The product doesn’t deliver great results for most hair types so the price isn’t worth a try for most people.

Results

Does not nourish as the bottle claims. There is not enough moisture providing benefits to be able to call this a great conditioner.

Packaging

I picked up the product at a health food store, not Neiman’s. So the packaging isn’t super lux, but I really like the look and functionality of the bottles. I also like that the brand offers more than one size.

Directions

After shampooing, apply on mid length to ends on oily to normal hair textures. Apply to roots to ends if roots are also dry.

Is it clean beauty?

The best part of this conditioner is that is safe for everyday use. It is a EWG Verified Product.
