Creative forces in the beauty industry showed us perspectives that defined each decade in time from edgy and bold stylistic choices to refined aspirational hair, skin and makeup looks featured on supermodels back when the era of the supermodel originated.

Back in the day, there was an expression of art that isn’t quite represented as magnificently nowadays. My personal favorite vintage hair and makeup ads are the painterly illustrations from the 20’s, the graphic advertisements from the 60’s, and of course, the genius artistic edge seen in the ads of cosmetic brand Shiseido.
As a beauty artist and the creative director of Documentary Beauty Magazine, I have designed and seen hundreds of mood boards, yet this one is the most noteworthy in my eyes. Do you agree?
