Celebrity Beauty Artist Confessions: The Flirty NFL Football Player

Time machine confessions of a celebrity hair artist. Hi, my name is Kayla MiChele, and I have a story about a NFL football player that I worked with. So he just won the Super Bowl, and he was the cast for a shampoo campaign, and that’s how I met him. And on set, he was really funny and extremely flirty the whole time, but like in a fun way.

So anyway, when the shoot was over, he said, “Do you want a ride home?” And I said, “Sure”. So I got in his SUV with him and his manager or publicist, and we were driving from the studio to the East Village downtown where my apartment is, and he said, “Do you have a man?” And I said, “Yeah, I have a husband.” He said, “What’s his name?” I said, “David”.

So we pulled up to the street where my apartment is, in the middle of downtown New York City, and this famous, very recognizable football player gets out of the car, and he screams, “David… David” over and over and over again outside of my apartment building. And I don’t think my husband heard him, but it was so funny, we were laughing. It was just this hilarious moment, because he has an amazing sense of humor. So he then helped me get my kits out of the trunk, my heavy hair artist kit and then we said, bye.

And then I told my husband, and he thought it was great actually, that it was funny. I think he’s super flattered that his wife’s getting hit on by people he admires, I guess. But actually, that’s another reason why I married my husband, because he’s not jealous, which is super important.

It’s funny, because I have a lot of celebrity or male supermodel phone numbers in my phone because they’re clients. But yeah, you can’t be jealous. But he totally knows that some of them hit on me and stuff like that, and I think he just thinks it’s funny or something.

So any other stories that you hairstylists, makeup artists, beauty artists have working with your clients?

I think that’s a fun one. I mean, I have so many of those, so more to come!
